Baby Steps
It's like I'm taking these idiotic baby steps when all I could ever want is to take that big leap. You'll never know how that feels. It's like everything you've taken from me has been placed on a grill being flipped by the hands of the most sinister of God's creations. Being burned alive 'til there's nothing left of me, Or maybe just nothing you'd care to remember of me. You're never going to relate to this. I'm going to rise up through the ashes of my past, The memories I want to devour, but end up in being regurgitated when I'm feeling the most heartsick. But I can feel the power searing through my bones, up my shattered spine. This power will NEVER pass into your hands. Remember that. With this power I grow a thousand times bigger than you. I am the bigger person here, So big you have to dance, ballerina pirouette, around these flowing tears of sea salt that flow off my chin. I hope you drown in it. But no, of course not. For now you're just singing, dancing in the rain huh?... until your luck runs out and I can say I don't want you anymore. Because I don't need you anymore, Because you're not you anymore, and I am not me. Goodbye for now... until you need me again.
