Was It You, Was It Me
Oh, these years haunt me still like these ice cold tears... The seconds pass by so slowly like rain drops scrolling down car door window The glass I look through I can only ask it to bring me back to you but my question becomes the careless squirrel passing in front of the turning wheel... Away from you how far can I get away from you to avoid fondly of your thoughts to avoid hastily cursing you like you cursed me doomed to love you without you loving me What we had, was it perfect far from it but at least it was real well real to me This is not the way things were meant to be The siren's whisking me away from you how dare they slap handcuffs upon my wrist ripping me away from our tryst while she lay there bruised, beaten, teary eyed but slowly forming a smile as they pulled me away Will I ever get her back maybe I break out maybe if I could unhook these chains No, no this is not the way to go What did I do so wrong to you... You claimed my heart for yours by placing it on a string hypnotizing me and then sent me away... Was it you, was it me this isn't how it's supposed to be
