Ashes To
Ashes To……………6/21/04 Living among the ruins of humanity’s thoughtless course, intentions once honorable fragment into ashes scattered among the living. Love has become a lost commodity in a world paralyzed be fears grasp, Hearts frozen greed realized in the eye of the coming storm fierce. Moments entertain ideas of freedom’s embrace warm, perishing hates Pervading smell of loss decaying flesh left in the darkened ruins. Breeze’s warm touch of hope swirl engaging memories fond recollection, Beckoning passions eager return now a flame that must be ignited. Peace the fragile dove signals an end to lives tormented by loneliness solemn Hand, sweetly her voice sings resonating through the chilly night air. Deftly navigating through the thickening fog of uncertainties chaotic Choosing, Faith unbroken unyielding leads us safely to her bosom. © 2004 David J. Mitchell
