A Place Called Otisville
A PLACE CALLED OTISVILLE by Robert Welch December 10, 2014 Nestled in the valley, among the rolling hills, Lies a tiny village; a place called Otisville. Families and friends, come from far and near, Welcome to our town, you’re not a stranger here. Baseball in the summer, a country fair in fall, Sledding in the winter, fun for one and all. Many farms about the land, fields full of corn and hay, Bring sounds of the milkers at the end of every day. The school now sits quiet; its halls are empty too. But one day it will radiate, with energy anew. A school full of history, that no longer teaches there, A future, to be certain, that shows how much we care. I love to come and visit, to linger in the past, Knowing that this tiny town, will forever last. To some it may mean nothing, but to me it always will, Be a place of memories; a place called Otisville.
