Running In Heels
When i was little, my mom said to me "It's okay to run in heels" She never mentioned how high or low they should be She just knew that sometimes...somewhere in life, i would need my heels And i would need to run I was always conscious of everything around and in me I couldn't believe living in a world without friends But since i was so quiet and didn't talk right It was hard to make friends And some people just wanted to be around me just to make fun of me But i could run, and that gift my mom had seen In me at an early age, she knew me better than anyone else I was loved for the races i won and the marathons i endured I was admired by many I was a little girl with short legs but sure made it far Further in life than i ever imagined i could get And when i wore my heels especially in my hardest times, i was not only taller But i was more confident and more stronger With my running shoes on, i could tackle anything whether bruised or broken some fictional, some truth
