The Elves Christmas Partzzz
The night before Christmas, the hour quite late, The elves were excited, they couldn’t wait, they were almost done loading Santa’s big sleigh, Christmas Eve was indeed, their busiest day. They stood on the runway waving goodbye, watching reindeer guide the sleigh through the sky, the elves Christmas party was in the main hall with lights on the trees, fun and frolic for all. The food was set up as a giant buffet, Unusual appetizers were on display. Savory, sweet morsels, some in between, Strange combinations like you’ve never seen. A three-elf swing band booked to play at midnight, they’d be dancing and singing until the daylight, Santa arranged for this party all by himself, his way of saying thank you to each little elf. *** Christmas morning arrived and Santa got back, but no elves were in sight to help him unpack, in the hall they were all fast asleep on the floor, Santa laughed, “HOHOHO,” when he opened the door. This really happened, what use to pretend they’d slept through their party beginning to end, no food did they eat, no games did they play, they were all tired out after such a long day. The night before Christmas the following year, One elf hung a big sign which read loud and clear, Our Party commences AFTER Santa’s big flight, This Eve is for sleeping… MERRY CHRISTMAS, GOODNIGHT!
