Roots and Dandelion Dreams: A Mother's Heart
Roots and Dandelion Dreams: A Mother's Heart - Daniel Henry Rodgers At dawn's first blush, milkweed pods, burst with a sigh, A feathery shower of, silk sending secrets... on the wind's soft cry. Yesterday, a crown of fragile pink, today set free: Like dandelion dreams, on the open sea, a thousand desires take flight. I watch you twirl, on dandelion down, Each filament, a shimmering thread, a luminous crown. Your laughter, a gurgling brook, through moss-covered stones, Your tears, the cool mist, clinging to ferns, where the wind moans. Through twilight's hushed hush, fireflies wink like, scattered stars, A constellation born, a flickering ballet in the fading light, as fleeting as, a summer night. Within your eyes, the wild iris blooms, Mirroring the twilight sky, seeking its sweet perfume. As meadowlarks sing and, fill the dawn anew, My heart, nurturing vine that, reaches deep, forever bound to you. You compose life's verses, moments fleeting and free, A butterfly's ballet dance, wondrous changing child, wild and mild. No sermon needed, just the wind's song, in the pines, A heartfelt language, a bond that forever binds. With patience etched in the, mountain's weathered face, I stand a silent guardian, a haven in this forest’s... graceful lace. Though shadows dance, a transient, fading play, My love, a redwood sentinel, weathering every way. In the dusk's serene cloak, where fireflies gleam, My presence, a meadow mindful, where bluebirds dream. For you, my child, are a hawk, on the wind's caress, Soaring on thermals, a spirit, etched upon our trace. My heart, a beacon's steady fire, guiding, through the unknown, In this life's, choreography, bathed in your, boundless exploration. Mother Sheltering, strong Branches rustle tales Roots grip the earth deep Child
