Meeting Destiny
The other night There was a total lack of light Went to help get this young ladies car going Never knowing This moment would impact my mind What did I find This young lady came and sat in the car In the darkness I saw her star I asked why so sad Why do you feel so bad She asked how do I know She was sure it did not show I just do. These words are true. I am you You are me So easy to see We sat there communicated Her curiosity sladed One autistic to another Was not even known by her mother I understandstood her pain Life was such a strain Emotions lost Heart turns to frost I told her why she felt this way And the pain it brought each day She read me her poems she wrote...so full of hope so much despair Made me care Such a beautiful mind That is what I did find In the darkness of night I found a beacon of light A hidden gem stashed out of sight Not letting anyone else see How beautiful her words be So afraid of scorn Her heart was torn I showed her a way For her words to forever stay Where only kind words will anyone say I helped her to understand her own mind What a find May never see her again But I gave her a place to begin I hope the world gets to see The Beautiful words there be Coming from her heart Hope I gave her a good start. Pointed her the right way Her words will bring light to your day
