Bono and Me
"Do you like U2?" she asked. It was an unusually awesome sunrise in Belleville Park. I come here to eat my breakfast on nice days and to take in the scenery before heading to the office. Paris has been good to me. I grew up in Houston, Texas and then went on to university at UCLA to become a climatologist. How I ended up here is a long story but suffice it to say my Parisian mother had something to do with it. I truly enjoyed my uncluttered, single lifestyle. So anyway, there I was munching on a breakfast burrito when this twenty-something blonde with cat-green eyes plops down beside me and asks the above question, quite out of the blue I might add. "Uh, well I grew up binging on The Joshua Tree, so yeah," I replied. Now here's the really weird part. Nothing. Not another word. But those emerald eyes shot straight through me like lightning on metal. As you may have guessed, my life changed on that day. Ever since, my world has been (ahem) pleasantly cluttered. Looking back on it, I've come to realize that July 4th, 2010 was indeed a "Beautiful Day." I found my true One under a Parisian sky Mysterious Ways
