Bucket List
Sometimes, our bucket list gets larger. At other times, it is likely to get smaller. There are times, parts of the list disappear, not because we achieved them, but because we were forced to rearrange or eliminate them. Getting acquainted with the Amish in Michigan, Ohio or Pennsylvania became too far away, or health issues interfered, or your interest in the subject matter diminished, or you did not want to go alone. The bucket list gets replaced by or becomes a new list of reasons you cannot execute the original bucket list. You'd love to revisit that tall smoke tower that you yelled through as a child and listened to its echo. You would love to see friends you haven't seen since childhood; since High School; since you moved 2000 miles away. Teachers, preachers, your children's birthplaces. Oh, the list is endless. You treasure the past, and the last thing you want to say is, 'No'. In your heart, you wish to God that it wasn't so. But facing reality, you resign to 'let it go'.
