The Hermit
Why do those who need and thrive on the Company of others, always view the hermit As an odd and peculiar character? Is it simply the notion of a solitary life Undisturbed to concentrate and focus On the many wonders of all things? Or is it the fear of loneliness keeping Them at bay? Personally, I have never Felt alone in our universe before! Besides, does replacing one illusion For another get the results we require? Maybe the Hermit is somewhat different. For he is unto himself. Being as he wants, Free from judging eyes, and pressured To conform to please others. With no need to “play along”, and always Explaining himself when his imagination Loses others. Besides, I’m positive he’s been where we Are now. Perhaps he’s laughing right now As he watches us all perform for his Entertainment.
