I had a dream, where you walked into my life, you didn’t leave and it felt so right. I woke up late into the night and it felt like a scorching knife, was lodged right into my lonesome mind. We are both breathing, here and we’re fine, the distance much greater than we could climb. Between us stands a fight, we could not survive and memories haunt us, I can’t erase mine. I figured time, would let the storm calm down. Darling, the further we flow, we’re bound to swim right into each others arms. Though harm was done, with a mighty gun and you still stand in battle, burning hotter than the sun. I think, I myself fight a war I’d never win. My enemy none other than the oceans within, that rage in your name, a flame forged in sin, let the white flags wave, I sink. May they never think, I fell like a coward. I kicked my legs, waved my arms and I paddled. I crashed towards you, right until you disappeared into the horizon, with a smile as beautiful and silent. I stood sinking, thinking my hand would not be left as lonely. I put it out, hoping either you or God would come and hold me. My demise was cold, dark and it came so slowly, once I disappear into eternity, you’ll see the waters calming and all I did was love.
