A Kaleidoscope of Hope
i wear hopes and dreams, utter inspiring wishes deeming me invincible- i am never alone when i have desires for life to be more than it already is if only my daughter was happy, maybe i would be too- for she is but a teen struggling to fit in, popularity never sees the beauty in the quiet and frail ones, no, it seeks the ones who won’t fight back because fear haunts- anxiety and depression no more, i long for her woe to dissipate and bestow confidence onto her innocent soul, a young lady needing what all young ladies want- deep security and soft affection i wish my sister was here with me, maybe we would drink coffee on sundays again, sitting by the sill - believing in each other and speaking verses of love once more death stole her from me, her choice destroyed me, left me wondering if i could have loved her more- “NO, MY LOVE…I COULD NOT” two wishes i have in this life, though i am happy to be a mother and a wife, i do hope ease finds my daughter, and comfort finds my soul; she deserves joy and i deserve a myriad of peace may she find the self-assurance in herself and herself only, hold onto HER hopes and dreams as well may I find positive energy and allow it to flow through my aura with a kaleidoscope of hope ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1.22.20 What Are You Wishes Poetry Contest Chantelle Anne Cooke
