Gone For Now
I wish you were here with me right now I wish you were around so you could wipe away my frown Wishing all of this is fun to think knowing that you’re gone makes everything seem blank I wish we could sing like we once did I wish we could laugh like we did as kids I wish I could hold you in those quietest of nights keeping you safe and telling you it’s alright Holding back my tears as I wipe them away as our passion with each other slowly drifts away I wish we could say I love you again even though in my heart those days are gone and away I know my passion for you can only be expressed in these rhymes as I wish I could see you one last time I’m wishing you all the best in your journey ahead wanting you to know there’s so much left unsaid I wish we could see that sunset glow on that ridge where we sat feeling that lust seeing you glow realizing my heart is forever trapped I wish all these things were really the truth but honestly I wish I was with you
