That’s why I avoid you friend. Within my noise I can pretend that the walls aren’t closing in. So I ride a subway car Reading posters on the wall Images of pretty things As perfect faces gaze back at me I can not breathe the words they say S I L E N C E Still they tell me not so subtly I’m not good enough to be I hear their words screaming inside my head! Where are you Silence? Were we once not friends? The prophets whispered words I crave, neon daggers in my head!
