Old Demons
Suffocating, why must it be so hard to keep from Suffocating, why must you clasp your hands so tight around my throat Suffocating me Suffocating, why must it feel like I am Suffocating Suffocating, eat away at my breath Suffocating, rob me of purpose Suffocating, keep me chained, a prisoner Suffocating on pale sunlight in hopes it will revive me Suffocating, lyrics care to put my mind at ease yet it still feels that painful urge of Suffocation, that nagging question still burns the tip of my ears Suffocating the intestines in my stomach with pain and all it's side effects Suffocating, burn my lungs with smoke Suffocating, I cannot rid it from my presence Suffocating, it lingers in my nostrils; a myriad of poisons in my veins to Suffocate me slowly, letting me know my life is growing listless; growing pointless Suffocating, these dark thoughts plague; way too strong, they are growing way too strong Suffocating me with this insufferable, nauseating smell I can't purge from the atmosphere for the wind is way too strong and I, only a human body Suffocating under the weight of a mighty boot I cannot pull myself from under Suffocating my insides, telling me something I'm not surprised to hear but more importantly I'm struggling to find all the time the importance of staying alive Suffocating, I'm trying to afloat on a sinking ship but it's only a boat Suffocating in stormy ocean waters, alone, like always Suffocating, why must I always be Suffocating...can something save me already
