Poem
A Thousand Words My dreams were of late as of months away I am not to feel, neither am I to see its coming Have I fallen asleep since those coming days? Or perhaps to merely drift through were my passing However dreamless it became, I found no quiet relief Beyond the darkest confines, darkness exist nevermore to hide Uneasiness is to settle like dust with images never receive Have I not once a soul I have known so well to have died? Hence was time given to relinquish the old world Moving in quiet strides, earning means to pay for my living And time simply falls away, in swivels and twirls Without a sign in sleep to harness the welcome of dreaming It becomes easy to forget my place whether be one in another Of the Ancient world to see as simply an illusion, nothing more Alkaiya, Ei-rian, Twit and The Askance belongs no longer I’m whole as I ought to be with an ordeal I can choose to recall However long in my chosen path to have come this far This night, is not to be those nights whence choices is be chose Those nights of a thousand dreams beneath a thousand stars A battle fought so well to have only an end bounded to lose And beyond the confines of my room, I solemnly await Acknowledging the known path I have so stubbornly ignored I should have known, had since the promise to make My time has come to face my inescapable destiny as recalled {It was dark in my room, it was a moment enchanted upon And I simply chose to close my eyes for a while to feel belong As always, what was seen in my mind was that I’m all alone Seeing the ancient world as remembered, of blood and of bones And in my mind I wandered along, searching my way through Burdened with the sword, heavy in thoughts of a love in a fool Fallen I have been for too long perhaps to know where I am As in reality for dreams to come true is where I found to stand I smile to my own comfort, knowing nothing more need I lose But when I open my eyes, of uncertainties are seen to overrule Once more do I find myself standing amidst this dreadful land Once more am I to find myself in The Ancients where time bears a never when All as thought to be an illusion was merely a false deception For the gospel before me remains to be genuine in certain And I withdrew my sword, astonished by its close comfort The sin embedded metal forged only for the Knight of the Word It felt to be strangely warm with the souls of demons slain Not by me fortunately, but by the one before my reborn became
