There’s an unsettling silence that hangs in the air The broken, twisted--cracked chair is empty just sitting there The chair is almost gone now, memories are keeping it alive So many people sat on it, about a one hundred five My thoughts are obscured, and memory a haze I started to reminisce about the good old days As kids playing tag and that apple tree was the safety base Blowing bubbles and watching them burst on our face For today is tomorrow’s yesterday and looking back is what we do It makes us smile knowing that someone loves you I always think to myself, “Oh, how things have changed” To be honest nothing really changes, every day ends the same Family, here's the problem and our issue No need to hang your head in shame and grab that tissue The human race, we are one big family It’s a shame we are besieged by hate, and we should have learned it is wasted energy We need to be one united through the storm Father God never intended for the family to be torn We all share a beautiful planet, a beautiful earth Family is all we have left not even a price tag can show what it is worth Ephesians 3:14-15 For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. Psalm 103:17 But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—
