Poem
Someday soon, I’m going to climb that mountain… Maybe tomorrow, I’m going to try to reach the peak, Where I’ll never regret the climb up, Because, with love, I find… Forever, holds the answers I seek … Someday soon, I’m going to lasso the moon, While the stars, They’ll shimmer silent and sure, Promising me a song, Where all my wishes sing along… Always, singing all night long… Someday soon, I’m going to shine like the Son, In the blink of an eye, All sorrows will surely be stilled, The dark will lose its shadows, Dreams will all come true, Eternity, the believer’s day of beauty… Someday soon, I’m going to know the meaning of grace, Where He is, That is my heart’s hope, my place, Nothing can destroy the love of His embrace, When I meet Him, when I see His face… Evermore, alive because I’m saved… Someday soon, I’m going to let go of the past, Listen to the scriptures, Who remind me that, with Him, I’ll know peace, And, because He’s love, I can always be sure of my redemption, Endlessly, the wonder and love that has blessed me…. Someday soon, I’m going to reach my destination, That place called heaven, Where there is magnificent I can’t explain, It’s so amazing… Only those who believe will enter in… Infinitely, praising the One whose gone before… Someday soon, I’m going to shed this cloak of grief, Meet my family, Those who’ve found His sweet peace, Reunited, we’ll all worship, At the throne, we’ll know we’re finally home, There with God, the joy of the soul… Someday soon, I’m going to pray for those souls, The ones who don’t know… It is Jesus who can comfort every heart, Giving hope that cannot compare, Anointing lives so they will truly care… Ever and always, He’ll always be my prayer! Someday soon, I’m going to forget the reasons… My heart was once fearful and worried, Feel the comfort of One who created me, There beside me, where I can finally see… the One who died for me… the One who set me free… with Him, I’ll spend all eternity!
