Poem
I learned so much last time I went too The shore casino near the ocean blue Conjuring up honesty and words that were true Looking for tranquil sanctuary to think and talk Arriving at the beach area where I did walk On the wooden planks Where a wintry scene proclaimed thanks For my need in wanting cheer “But it is cold out here,” I felt in fear “Shivering shots from an ice picking spear!” Suddenly an image did appear Displaying warmth Like the July date stating the fourth Inside I did go To a place where children know Once the casino stood Promoting horses constructed from porcelain and wood A spooky amusement ride Which I had an urge to try Ignoring the tour guide Living a lie Resting in peace Protecting the deceased I hopped up the small step Seeing a young lady an image never to forget “We were taken apart They shredded the cart Chatting about profits made after visiting the antique mart It broke my heart” She did cry No one ever told her goodbye Instead, they ripped the carousel from the floor Before heading to the city auction store Sold off Strangers bought I smiled at the young lady Hearing her name was Katie Affluent from birth Having such worth It was then electricity came on Waving its lyrical wand Making everything spin Giving the palace clown tease grin Wondering where you are going and been Round and round Music staged the joyous sound Katie A Lady A girl With a neckless romantic pearl Wanting love Before the call came from above “You are here My dear,” “Yes, I know Enjoying the show Going around Nowhere bound” “So why don’t you join me We could always have a luncheon tea Watching people From our perch on this spiritual steeple” Getting tired She did inquire “Up there You do really care Watching with your gracious stare” “Yes Katie You are a lady Time has come Your commitments are done You cannot do anymore You handled your earth chore It is time for me to open the door Come sit with me For a spot of afternoon tea” Suddenly everything stopped I dismounted and stated thanks a lot Returning to the refrigerator air Leaving the miniature imaginary fair Taking a breath Pondering what I left Before noticing A Café known for ghosting Jogging still in my teenage physical form Avoiding the frigid storm And never being scorned I went inside Reflecting on an individual that died Loving the amusement ride Katie Known as a lady Was the haunting vision Starring in the magical journey mission When I sat down No longer sporting a frown There was Earl Grey Offering me an English Breakfast if I pay Taking a moment, I did stay Understanding Lady Katie got her way Taking the post Eternity on the merry go round roast Featuring an experience, I must toast With my tea That reality states ‘I can actually see’ It was then I came to closure Why the almighty chose her To chase and grab the dream ring Since she knew everything When dealing a queen and king During an entertainment fling Memorized by the sparkle That could light BBQ charcoal But when it came to life She was never my wife Just someone I knew Now having the proper stool Enchanting and cool Performing her new duties saying ‘boo who’
