Poem
I have spent my whole life loving others, but receiving very little love in return. There were a few times when I thought that the person I was with loved me, but time always had a way of changing that. It has always been a mystery to me why a person would not want the love that was offered to them. Given without any expectation of reward, given freely. If the person we loved knew how much we loved them they would swell up with pride, but for some reason they just don't see it, and let it go. We should have been born with a big yellow light on the end of our noses that only came on when you were with somebody you loved.... Then there would be no guessing. The person would know for sure. I guess we would all look pretty silly with our bright yellow noses shinning bright, and proud. People would stare, and say, look at him; He is in love with that girl he is with. Then again the girl he was in love with would say. Would you please turn that nose off...... You know I can't sleep with a light on.......... Oh well it was a good idea in the beginning ....... Just like most relationships I guess. When the lights of love have burned out, and the room is dark, it is probably better because nobody can see your tears. I guess I better quit this line of thinking it is making me sad, and probably you as well. Lets change it instead of having a bright yellow light on our nose come on when you are in love.... Lets make the person who would not accept the love have one really BIG ear. - So they could hear the tears loud, and clear. - So they could hear people talking about them. - Such a BIG ear that they could hear their conscience telling them ..... This is a bad thing you have done to somebody who really loved you. - So BIG that they could hear whispers coming from people on the street saying......... "That person once had someone who loved them very much and they let it go." I hope you are smiling now, I liked the second one better than the first........ People would say watch out, you just can't fall in love with a person with ….... One really BIG ear. >> I paint pictures with words calbambi@gmail.com
