The Wizard I travel far and wide to seek the one true mystic Seeking true knowledge, forsaking the humanistic For I am but one, poor traveler, student, teacher Reaching out to the one, many universes the breacher As I travel to many places, many roads that lay before me There is this distant echo, calling out for those who never see For I am but a mere traveler lost in time, shivers of some forsaken past Seeking an audience with the one, whom most others he may outcast Suddenly the wizard appears before me Aged staff of withering oak for all to see Eyes of fire, cloak of gold, shimmering bright Hair and beard, flowing long, glistening white As he walked I felt the presence of many others within him As if there were a silent choir, singing a unheard hymn Every step he took, I could not see dust stir of any kind As If it was he was walking on cloud, above all mankind Suddenly as he spoke, there rose such a tremendous thunderclap That split the nights sky with deafening sounds and lights that overlap His magic, from many worlds, many realms, many dimensions abound His wisdom, of true pure thought, from lost ages never, ever be found He spoke of many travels, many wonderful places he has seen I listened in reverence and awe of this wondrous being before me He spoke of many kings he served from many foreign lands I bowed in respect to the wizard of kings, reached out to kiss his hand He shared his past, his now ,his future as we sat and broke bread together Asking many queries, his power, is it all consuming, will it continue on forever He just smiled and said, we are here for just one brief moment in the essence of time At that moment he just drifted away, I began to understand his reasons and rhymes In that brief moment, I am suddenly aware that I am now alone, no goodbyes The wizard has vanished before my very astonished, saddened, weary eyes There was so much more I wanted to seek, to ask, to learn from this teacher But alas, this brief encounter is what has be gifted, tis mine the only keeper I walk a new and different path, since I met my teacher, my wizard For I have granted a new wisdom, a new awakening to be considered I am forever grateful for my audience with wizard should bear such awareness That for I, but a mere mortal, should forever withhold his council and greatness The wizard came upon me on such an enchanted evening, so bold and so fair The wizard vanished before me in an instant, as if he were both light and air
