We Are Not Okay,Are We

I wonder why people who say they want to die still look across the road while walking I wonder why they still drink water or eat, or care to bandage a wound when bleeding I wonder why that girl who has it all was crying in the bathroom that one time or that smart kid, still isolates herself, I wonder why he who is social, texts me about loneliness. I wonder why, she says she is sick but looks just fine, I wonder why, I'm lying in this poem, telling strangers of my stories with other people's names, why do I always fear being cliché, could it be that I want to be attended too, could it be I said that line so you would thing I was not, could it be you feel this way too, but you too fear what I would say, be like me, tell me your story using their names, tell me she feels guilty after she eats, tell me he is afraid of his own thoughts, because is you use yours, I might say, "some have it worse, don't be dramatic."

Oh yes. Uh huh. Even I use "she" when writing too personally. Another people watcher I see. Write on dear poet. xomo
