To My Dear Wave
You are like the waves,
you come and go again and again
and left me alone in this numb pain.
Does wave ever ask the sea-shore
whether she wants to hold him a little more?
Whether the thirst he has urged,
by touching her to the verge,
is completed, or she wants more?
Ask the sea-shore once, and she'll reply like that,
"no, dear wave, I have the whole life left for you to adore.
This longing has no end.
It's not the earthly urge,
but my heart wants to keep it for a lifetime sustained".
