Time

Time Time passed me by today, Tell me, which way did it go, It did not stop to say hello. Where is that subtle thief Who stole an hour today? Then within an hour, Gave that hour away. Who rings alarms on a myriad clocks, Disturbing sleepers in their beds, Stirring the reluctant day, Then conspires to cause delay. As you manage the passing hours And on your busy way you go, When again you pass my way, Pause a while to say hello. Barry Stebbings March 2024
