This Maybe the Last Time
Listening for the trumpet sound
As still the world go round and round
Feet still planted on the ground
What is it still that has us bound
We wait for rapture to arrive
Come and take us while alive
Strike a blow at the thing called death
Let death not rob us of our breath
Come solve all our mysteries
Contained in all our histories
Come tame all our misery
Come save all the saints that be
Let this be my last verse on earth
Raise me from this wretched curse
I hope when I open the world to see
That if You did come, You didn't leave me
