Listen to poem:
There Comes a Time by Robert J (Bob) Moore ©2021 There comes a time, and you get to a stage when nothing just seems to work right then you realise, it’s just old age though you fought it with all of your might The legs don’t work proper, the back aches like hell to put on your socks is a chore and if God forbid, it happened you fell you wouldn’t get up any more But you keep on moving, there’s still things to do Interests, and the things you do best You get up each morning, and face a new day With your loved ones, but sometimes it’s a test The spirit is willing, the body is not but you know that it’s all part of life and if you lived well, and enjoyed what you did maybe you can complain to your wife she’ll probably nod, and then say “yes dear” I know just how you feel after all I’ve been here, year after year washing, cleaning, and making your meal No sympathy .
