~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do not mourn me, I am stardust. I am the universe, the universe is me. I am the sand between your toes, the sun on your face. I am the tree that gives you shade, the stars that light your way. I am the hope in your heart, the smile upon your face. Do not mourn me. I am not gone.
Dear Sara, soulful poetess, your poem is absolutely beautiful and comforting. Indeed, we are the universe and the universe is us. We are stardust! Your splendid poem shows how interconnected we are to each other and to everything else ever created. Your poem's deep underlying message, complexities and intricacies extend well beyond the confines of the poetic page. I adore your final two lines "Do not mourn me./I am not gone" - so profound and so soothing! Warmest wishes my sweet friend.. ~Susan
Your Poem beautifully explores the idea of interdependence and the afterlife, dear Sara. The idea it expresses is that even after we physically disappear, we remain a part of the cosmos and live in many forms. The poetry's straightforward and moving language conveys a feeling of calm and security. Stardust, sand, sun, trees, and stars are some of the images used to paint a picture of the speaker's everlasting connection to nature.
