Secret Sorrow
I have a secret sorrow
that weeps for every tomorrow
It awakens from its gloomy sleep,
arising from the dark and deep
Filling my heart with aching sadness
driving me to the brink of madness
Secret memories, silent tears
invading ghost from long ago years
Does time ease the grief and pain
or do they return like the wrath of rain
Aching, restless, a sleepless night
the moon sings a sad lullaby
Awaiting the sun's silent return
a lonely heart grieves and secretly yearns
