Ripples
The little dragonfly sat by the edge of the twig,
as tears streamed down his cheeks.
His parents and siblings told him that he was too young
to spread his wings to the sky,
and see the pond, his home, like a raindrop.
He felt so insignificant and weak, as he stared at his minuscule
reflection on the pond.
Little did the little dragonfly know that the pond
could feel his pain, as she tasted his tears
that dripped from his cheeks.
"Can you see the ripples your tears have created?" she asked.
"Yes", he replied, though surprised.
"Aren't you surprised you could create such big ripples? she asked.
Suddenly feeling confident, the little dragonfly wiped his hears,
and smiled at his reflection on the pond.
"I am a spark of the universe!" he declared in his soul.
