~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
gypsies, martyrs, and thieves, turn a new leaf, following dreams, remembering. Joan's light burned bright, fighting the night for life to thrive she sacrificed. to indifference, cowardice and intolerance, say good riddance, with kind guidance. it is now time, to open one’s mind; see what's inside; give courage, tolerance, and personal sacrifice a try.
appreciate your visit and you sharing your thoughts. You asked a great question. I'd like to think I have some modicum of courage, tolerance, and personal sacrifice but it pales in comparison to Joan's. Enjoy your evening, hugs & blessings, Sara
DearSara, what a powerful call to embrace change and embrace the courage to follow our dreams while remembering the sacrifices of those who came before us. Joan's light shines as a beacon of hope, urging us to confront indifference and intolerance with kindness and guidance. Sara,your words inspire us to open our minds, see what's inside, and cultivate courage, tolerance, and personal sacrifice. Let us turn a new leaf and strive for a brighter tomorrow. Blessings, Daniel.
What a powerful poem this is dear sara! You have a very kind heart. And i can feel that! And i see through your profound lines how you wish for a kinder better world for all of us, and that’s exactly what i wish for too. aww, thanks Ink. I agree...we're kindred spirits in that we want a more courageous, tolerant, and kinder world. What happened to personal courage and individual integrity??! Glad you liked the physical structure of my poem. Wishing you a splendid Saturday evening, hugs, Sara
Thanks for this remarkable poem. Joan de'Arc was a vanguard of freedom during her day. The photo is a beautiful addition to your words.
Wonderful poetry on the need to be brave, tolerant, and selfless when faced with hardship, dear Sara. Readers are inspired to chase their aspirations and make a difference in the world as it honors those who have battled for their values. Maybe that's why everything is going downhill. Nobody wants to be really receptive to different viewpoints.
I shared your thoughts, dear Sotto. Tolerance for differences seems to be at an all-time low. I believe many folks like personal integrity and courage. Courage is needed to be tolerant....not much personal courage these days--well, except for some poets I know :-) Have a pleasant evening, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara
If only... Perhaps that's the reason the world is in such a sad state. No one wants to be open minded enough to see other points of view. We have difficulty tolerating those who don't agree with us. Personal sacrifice? Not in the world where everyone says, "What's in it for me?" You've made great points, Sara.
I share your sentiments, Lin. Not much tolerance or personal sacrifice in today narcissistic world. I often wonder what happen to personal integrity and personal courage. Too much hate, propaganda, and fear so easily consumed. Scary and sad at the same time. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Have a pleasant evening, Sara
