Monologue of a Star

Alone. Terribly, unfathomably alone. Silently, within the void I churn. Brilliantly, in hopes to be made known I'll condemn all that I am to burn. Reaching. Into the void my warmth is reaching. My aura pulsing, pleading to be seen Over the walls of distance breaching Despite the time and space that lies between. Empty. A bitter, heavy, crushing empty. Collapsing, I descend into a hole Until not even light itself may leave me, And time and space are under my control. 7.7.20 For Nina Parmenter's You are a Star Contest

Jesse, this is really good. So effective the way you use cadence to create a mood from the first line: "Alone, terribly ... alone." And then "...Until not even light itself may leave me..." ~Eric

Your monologue is intriguing Jesse. A lot to comprehened from the lonely yet powerful star that's gloomy yet giving light to the world awaiting an end that might lead to a beginning. Congratulations on your win! :)
