Love Sonnet

"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life. The word is love." -Sophocles, Greek poet One word unties all the shackles and pains Of a world that's spiced with bitter and sweet; A word that shines against tempest and rains That could make the world rise against defeat. Its bright shine is like a glowing rapture That, for the troubled souls brings rains of bliss. It mends the wounds of hearts that it captures, Just like heaven spiced with thrilling sweet kiss. For, somewhere in hearts, the shine of love glows, And even when there seems to be no hope. From deep within, the great breath of love blows. Hearts meant for each other are bound to cope. Somewhere in the space of heaven above, There's place for the home of great thing called love.
