Love
"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life.
The word is love” - Sophocles, Greek Poet
Walking on lone path, wind in wasteland paves,
reach shimmering sea where cobalt dusts drip.
Embraced, I ride enthralled on dancing waves,
that’s where I feel allured love's charming grip.
Silver moonbeam in dream night I follow,
sunburst dawn paints sky for joy to define,
see dew drops glow on my meadow mellow,
that’s when I find patina of love shine.
When falling sky melts the cloud of dismay
my abode in the flood lies abandoned,
forlorn in the storm I lose me to stray,
drift to your heart to anchor, to be owned.
Sunset colors gone, emotions endure,
that’s how I discover sublime love pure.
