Life Is That Way

A man weeping in the rain A girl sitting by the way A Bag soaking It was grey My car sporty with no space My heart broke for their day I stopped Asking for their way little girl pointing that way Luckily I lived that way The bag? Could it be left I simply do not have space And the rain may sweep you away Tears running down his face The man whispered to my face Please do not live my wife in the rain Take my daughter she can show you the way Later In the news back at my place Hot chocolate and gin to warm my breath I saw on the news a man was swept away By the raging rains on the way to that way In the other news, a young girl was found dead besides her mother in a bag all grey I sipped my gin and wept Anyway life is that way At times it happens anyway
