Ignorance

Ignorance Industrial tyrants wield ungodly power Polluting oceans and jungles and skies Apathy betrays a hungry desert flower Gold and addictive oil the chosen prize Broken promises fail to save the whale On center stage mock tears glaze eyes Venomous stifling gas newborns inhale Ignorance drive beings to their demise 09/03/2013 2:54 p.m. Venice, Italy "Aboard a cruise liner"

What an important poem Anselmo. It is so thought provoking and especially timley , as the oceans for example, are getting filled more and more with pollution as each day goes by. My daughter just started working for the EPA and I would love for her to read this poem. I am glad to have found it.

Ignorance for the tyrants is bliss; for everyone and everything else, quite the opposite. Meaningful penning, my friend!

Great poem. It shows how little we care for the environment.
