I Recall
I recall the moment,
All at once i realized that no matter what
The sun will still rise
The breeze will blow
The birds will fly about
I found a certain reasurrance in this that hit me at my core
And all the parts that held me in fell away,
Came crashing to the ground with a theatrical wail
One that screamed "I'll never be the same again"
And then it was over. Crowd trickled out, along with the shoulders to cry on.
They all turned away. And the last one standing then was me. Alone. Free.
