Wow... I often wonder how some parents can Be so blind..?? I have seen some examples and Some to a large extent do not realise the effect They have on the children.. Yet we do have our Independance (so its not imoossible to get ) An equilibrum theres the pull of not wanting to Feel these thoughts.? Love yearns for reciprocation to a great extent..I leave it there May your day be well.'

Arthur, I often wonder why people have children when they don't really want them. The way you have addressed this seems to suggest you've made peace with all that came before. I truly hope that you have. From my own experience, I think we never truly escape from feelings in our upbringing, but we can behave in a way going forward that reflects how we would have liked to have been treated. That can do a lot. On a grander scale, we should behave as a country that improves on our past a la your America Never Learns poem.

oh, your poem was filled with sadness, made me teary eyed. I felt such abandonment...and that's devastating to a child's soul. Thanks for sharing & have a pleasant evening, Sara

You've made me teary eyed. I'll be over with a bottle of your favorite wine, and we can write happier thoughts together. Hugs for this one, Art.
