...this then makes one ponder, your quote, specifically in response to the final sentence, “Who would be born must destroy a world”. If William Makepeace Thackeray proffers Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children, then your quote from Hesse, would subscribe that it is inevitable all progeny will inevitably not only destroy a world (i.e. the Source), but in turn, destroy itself. Of course, Hesse and Makepace Thackeray are merely two in a myriad school of philosphers swimming in that fishbowl of preponderance.

The thought of birth entangled with death, whether in death something is born or with creation something is destroyed is very true and how this encapsulates the circle of life in so few words is remarkable:)
