Blue Parakeets | Blue parakeet, Parakeet, Parakeet cage(Image courtesy of istockphoto.com)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the middle of a midnight song, came the parakeet, a bird of flame, a bird of deep indigo's keep. Into that blessed night, of its own song it gave, not born of fright, nor for mirth or sonnet's might, but for rekindling heaven's fire.
Excellent poetry about a bird that appears out of nowhere in the dead of night, filling the speaker with awe and reigniting a flame of heavenly passion.
Once I had these birds in my house. They are of multi shades. We call them 'love birds.' As snakes used to come to eat away their eggs, we decided not to keep them anymore. It was such fun watching them. Lovely poem dear Sara.
My mom had a couple of parakeets in a cage inside our home. After a couple of years, she grew tired of them. Came home from school and they were mysteriously gone. I never asked. Gosh snakes eating their eggs! Oh my. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experience. Have a splendid day, hugs, Sara
