Betrayal
In the morn, the foggy creek’s rise Its gentle whispers a sweet surprise But beneath the surface, secrets lie Love’s betrayal, tears in my eyes Spring’s promise a fleeting delight Yet disappointment clouds my light Nature’s beauty, a fragile thing In love and seasons, echoes ring Betrayal’s sting, like thorns on a rose In the heart, a deep sorrow grows The creek still flows, the sun shines In nature’s embrace, solace I find In my pierced heart, bleeding is slow The scars are deep the wounds show Birds at the feeders and in flight New life born, such a delight

"Betrayal’s sting, like thorns on a rose In the heart, a deep sorrow grows" "but in Natures embrace solace I find" When being betrayed in love, it is pain and leaves a deep scar in the mind. But when we turn to nature and watch the birds in flight and the creek flowing, we forget our wounds and become cheerful again. The solace nature gives is beautifully presented! Love and hugs dear Sara

Your opening stanza spelled the essence of your poem for me, Sara. A perfect weaving of nature and emotions:--In the morn, the foggy creek’s rise Its gentle whispers a sweet surprise But beneath the surface, secrets lie Love’s betrayal, tears in my eyes-- awesome!

Dear Sara, your artistic verses unveil the raw vulnerability of betrayal's sting. Yet, even amidst heartache's thorns, your words find peace in nature's embrace - for beauty persists, and new life emerges from life's most painful seasons. I love your ability to channel such wonderful emotions through your poetic prowess which is a gift that allows your poetry to touch the soul's deepest crevices with empathy and wisdom. - Blessings, my Friend, Daniel

You've captured a notion I've thought much about. When things are going well the world is noticably beautiful. When the heart is broken nothing looks the same, though it is. Emotional poem Sara
