Betrayal
In the morn, the foggy creek’s rise
Its gentle whispers a sweet surprise
But beneath the surface, secrets lie
Love’s betrayal, tears in my eyes
Spring’s promise a fleeting delight
Yet disappointment clouds my light
Nature’s beauty, a fragile thing
In love and seasons, echoes ring
Betrayal’s sting, like thorns on a rose
In the heart, a deep sorrow grows
The creek still flows, the sun shines
In nature’s embrace, solace I find
In my pierced heart, bleeding is slow
The scars are deep the wounds show
Birds at the feeders and in flight
New life born, such a delight
