A Reason To Cry

People say there’s a reason for everything, But somehow you don’t see the reason in me. You know I’m tropical, just like you, What reason will you give to your monsoons? We all break down, and that we should, Whenever currents turn stormy and clouds blue. You taught the manners – it’s impolite to ask Something that I can’t get out of my heart. You shouldn’t push, nor should you pull, Nor should you force an action of nature’s rule. Because I won’t speak doesn’t mean you should go It takes time to gather a heart broken long before. Please don’t – I pray you please don’t go, Maybe that missing piece is you and you alone. The ugliness you feel in every moment I scream, Is your unwillingness to see the bitterness I feel. I tried to stop the tides with my bare hands, But water will one day flow over once dry sand. You say people won’t love me if they see me this way, But is it truly love if you can’t hold me while I break?
