September Wedding
Upcountry sky gloomed darker, charcoal
as the end of summer sparking fall.
Any ridgetop beckons lightning –
distant thunder – or was it applause?
For she was strapless, bride-white lily
dancing past us
as they silhouetted into sunset,
sparkling rosé sunflare below clouds.
The Union
Theres a reason why you are together,my dears
Possibly brought to one another by chemistry
But
I hope it was pure devoted love that brought you here
And
Made you want to spend the rest of your years
Your better half
The better part of you
The missing piece
The one who makes you, the complete you
An angel
A gift from heaven above
Your very best friend,
The one that shows you so much love
Two kindred spirits drawn together from past lives
Some may call it fate, my dears
But as for my love and me
I call it a miracle brought on by destiny

Sixty Years
Sixty years we celebrate
In love with each, since our first date
Xanadu for most, we rate
Throughout our every smile or tear
You and I, with each, stayed near
You and I are truly blessed
Every year we did our best
Addressing outcomes, up or down,
Remembering the smile, not frown
Sixty years! We've earned our crown!

My Son's Wedding Day
September sixteenth, wedding change of gears.
I wait my turn an usher by my side.
Surprise! my arm, the groom now commandeers.
Revised rehearsal plan requests his bride,
a special treat for mom moves me to tears.

Wedding Night
I look at her and I see
Such beauty that thrills me
So lovely and full of grace
She turns all heads in this place
In love side by side
I'm her husband and she's my bride
No words need to be said
Hand in hand we go to our bed
I pull her close and we feel
Our love so true, so strong, so real
Tonight feels like our wedding night
After fifty two years our love feels so right

Great White Wedding
I married a shark yesterday;
we went to Atlantis to stay -
she showed me the sights
(between lots of bites)
as Plato was running away...

Our 20th Anniversary- Qd
Parallel to loneliness was I,
then day broke and I awoke with ease-
lovely Autumn breeze and cobalt sky,
joy prevails and hopelessness does cease.
A day when weeping willows don’t cry,
tangerine sunset between the trees-
smiles resound in love we can’t deny,
we hold hands swearing true guarantees.
Beautiful day renewing our vows.

Wedding Day Footles
full pews
good news
bride glide
love stride
white dress
no mess
gold ring
heart sings
grand smile
bride style
love vows
heads bowed
full church
no lurch
priest waits
for mates
vows done
two one
big cake
we take
we cheer
drink beer
