Of Gods, Sun, Moon And Stars

Millions of years ago, gods of the universe were the most powerful of all. Gifted with distinct skills and talents, gods were adored as the most superior and the wisest. These gods were symbolized by the different planets in Roman mythology and by the different heavenly names in Greek mythology. But apart from these known gods and goddesses there existed a smaller world of gods and goddesses when the wars among bigger, greater gods ended. The battle of the wisest and brightest shaked the entire universe and scattered immiscible memories of the past. The current planets are proofs that wars among gods are over. The intensity and rage that elicited from a simple contest created a tremendous impact in the existence of the remaining survivors of wars. No gods and no one survived the wars at a later time except the Sun and the Moon who are independent of their nature and existence. The Sun and the Moon are the godparents of all gods and goddesses of the universe. The question as to why they cannot appear and disappear at the same time is because of a promise to provide peace and love for the coming generations. The only time godparents see and feel each other is during the eclipse -- solar or lunar. Still, far away from each other, sacrificing themselves not to be together again as the only way to maintain peace and harmony in the universe. The Sun and the Moon are former lovers separated by higher gods. They were punished for disobeying one law of the universe. That is, to marry each other only after asking their parents' blessings. Stars?... Stars are originally diamonds, broken into pieces. Stars, like diamonds, have different cuts, shapes and sizes. Diamonds are the only treasure sacrificed in sparing the lives of goddesses desired by gods in rivalry. Diamonds in form of stars were scattered in the dark to guide new goddesses back home to their haven. The mother of goddesses never loved again to prove her faithfulness to the one and only father God. Stars will remind everyone that there is hope in any darkness, near or far.
