Heavenly Blu

Her name was heavenly blue, because her eyes were the perfect shade of sky blue. It was said that she fell from heaven because she seemed to just drop in from nowhere. Everything about her was a mystery, her life seem to just picked up a few months ago in a small town in North Carolina.

Her final destination was a small town in Cleveland, Tennessee. She had roamed the earth like an immortal, her age was undefined. And her beauty was eternal, one never knew what to think of her, and when you did she was gone, like a gentle whisper in the night.

She lived by a code of 66 books, and everything from her captivating eyes, to her silky soft skin all seem like a whisper in the wind.

She carried baggage like a child in the open, unhindered and out in the open. Nothing held her back from the pathway she was going. Yet she always seemed to be searching for what she called home, what was home for Heavenly blue? No one really knew and so she would find herself back on the road in search of this distance homeland.

She searched for one of a kind place of which she was no stranger to, she search for her inheritance. For a place where she knew where her Father walked. She remembered back to when she was a child even then she searched. She was led by the written word, the code if you will, it always guided her heart. What others saw as a mystery she welcome as a spirit leading her.

She always saw more in books than most people. Book and knowledge she yearned for more and more. And always the road would call to her, and again she would be gone. Like the morning dew there would be no trace of her by the end of the day, just an after thought.

As she headed on to Chattanooga, Tennessee she found a temporary home. She could not find the words to understand it, but in her heart she knew it. Life would be settle for a while, she found a place to live, a job in which to work and friends. For the first time in her life she had friends, maybe just maybe she had finally found a place to call home. A reason to stay settled in one place and make it her own.

But life is seldom still for very long with the changing of the season came unrest to her peaceful exsistance. Money problems began to blow her way, friends began to leave and find other place to go. Home was not a safe haven anymore. Life’s little disturbances and uneasiness came in her life suddenly. With no thought to herself she began to experience sleepless night. It was all she could do just to come and go to work. She tried to find solace in what everyone else does, she went to strong drink to silence the cries of life. No such luck it just numb her senses until the next day. And it presented her with a head-ache to boot. Then she tried relationships, get lost in one of those. But people were the last thing she needed, that was what she was trying to escape from. And that too presented her with head-aches of a different kinds. She then decided to get lost in work, what a productive way to silence the cries of life. More hours mean more time away plus extra pay. Once again the very people whom she were trying to silence was with her more hours every day. How could she ever silence this cry? How could she ever find peace and contentment in a world with so many crying for attention?

Blu look’s up, not to the left or to the right. She didn’t look around the corner, or up the street. She didn’t look over there or under there. She finally took her focus off herself and begin to look up at the sky blue sky. Her eyes seem to melt right into that beautiful sky, the two of them became one. She was no longer trying to silence the world’s cries she began to really hear them. She heard what they could not say with words. She then realized that she was doing the same thing they were, she tried to medicate a world of hurt by numbing her sense. When what she needed was a heart that hears and understands the pain. Only when she became part of them did she realize how much they hurt. They had no idea of what to do to stop the pain. So they did what they knew, they never silence the pain. They just numb it for a while, and then they were back to the same old problem. Only when she stepped out and became one of them did she realize why they acted the way they did.

As long as she looked from the top of the hill, she never knew or understood them. When their hurts and pains’ become part of hers then she understand their journey. Life would never be easy for Heavenly Blu, it was never meant to be that way. And so she continue on her way, because she realized life was not about silencing the cries of the people. But to walk among them not away from them.
