A Letter Of Thanks

Dear reader let me start off by saying I wasn’t planning on writing this letter. I thought writing this autobiography was my way of saying thank you for being my reader all these years. But it seems that maybe I should say thank you to the people who made me who I am. Not just my family and friends but to you guys. See if you guys didn’t read my short stories or poems I wouldn’t be driven to make the next story better or to challenge myself to make the next poem connect with someone. I might have said little jokes on my family and friends in this it’s just my way of saying that I care. (plus being socially awkward makes me say stupid jokes. Almost like that very strange and charming character from the hit sitcom from 1994 to 2004.)

I know I got into some rants here and there and I have to say well I’m not sorry for that. Sometimes you have to rant to get your point across to some people. So I won’t say sorry for that. What I am sorry for is that people with disabilities still get treated poorly at times just because they have something some kind of disability that is out of their control. That people don’t take the time to get to know us they just toss us aside.

Let’s get back to the thank you part of this autobiography. I have to thank the test readers and my friend/editor. (she knows who she is.) I should also thank the people who I was a pain in the ass to while writing this. I’m sure I drove you guys up a wall and probably to the roof a number of times. (I just hope you all aren’t afraid of heights.) I know this is odd but I also want to thank the people who did damage to me. Telling me more times then I can count that I can’t write that I can’t do anything other then stare at a wall for eight hours. That all I am is a toy to be played with then thrown away. I know this isn’t classy but I guess I showed you.

Last I want to say once again thank you to you the readers who have read this and my other works. I might have wrote this autobiography to get to know who I am again but truth be told I wrote this for you guys. I really hope you all stay around not for me but for Meredith and Freya. For the brown eye girl. And for all the characters yet to come.

Thank you once again,

Jesse McDonald
