There must be quite a few things a hot bath won't cure, but I don't know many of them.

What are the best times to reflect on the course of your life? Whenever you are near water, such as the ocean, a quiet pond, or a small stream. Bodies of water, particularly if they are moving, help to stimulate your creative thought process. Similarly, if you are near a fireplace or even a candle, while the flames tend to have a calming effect, they also help you to reflect on what is really important and what you want to be doing more often. The brilliant, quiet stillness of a candle flame can have an anxiety-reducing effect on your entire being. Believe it or not, you can actually choose to feel comfortable about how you spend your time. Philosophically, but also practically speaking, up to this minute in your life, you did indeed have enough time to accomplish everything you accomplished. And that's been quite a lot. When you choose to feel comfortable about how you spend your time, it immediately helps to reduce anxiety. You can also choose to feel good about your accomplishments. To bemoan the fact that you have only accomplished so much by such and such a time or such and such an age is to remain in a perpetual state of discontent. Feel good about what you have accomplished and look forward to what you will accomplish, and you will have a greater sense of control of the time in your life.

It is no secret that organized crime in America takes in over forty billion dollars a year. This is quite a profitable sum, especially when one considers that the Mafia spends very little for office supplies.

They couldn't put the deal together and come through at the required time with the required amount of earnest money. We've had quite a bit of inquiry about the second bid.

We essentially are giving up holiday 2006, and for notebook makers that is going to impact their bottom line quite a bit. The first quarter is the slowest quarter of the year for any PC (sales).

We were estimating about $700,000, so we're quite a bit over what we thought we were going to get. We all know what happened to the tourism industry after Sept. 11. Since then, we've been building up again. Now we're almost at pre-Sept. 11 levels.

It can take quite a while for a Web page to appear on your screen. The reason for the delay is that, when you type in a Web address, your computer passes it along to another computer, which in turn passes it along to another computer, and so on through as many as 5 computers before it finally reaches the work station of a disgruntled U.S. Postal Service employee, who throws it in the trash.

There has been quite a lot of progress made and I think we will continue to make progress,

It is easy enough to define what the Commonwealth is not. Indeed this is quite a popular pastime.

There's still quite a bit of slack in the economy, and you can't push through prices until you eliminate that slack.

Method acting? There are quite a few methods. Mine involves a lot of talent, a glass and some cracked ice.

This is quite a three-pipe problem.

When you were quite a little boy, somebody ought to have said hush just once.

Until they get in there, we won't know. They could think the clot would be this big and it ends up that big. They've narrowed the problem quite a bit, but there's still a spectrum of things that could be going on in there.

Also, from a technical point of view, as you're standing in front of a microphone all day, it's quite a good idea that I should play a laid back sort of character because if he was too frenetic, I'd be exhausted by lunch!

Watergate showed more strengths in our system than weaknesses... The whole country did take part in quite a genuine sense in passing judgment on Richard Nixon.

Quite a nasty piece of work. Not the sort of person you'd want to have dinner with. On the subject of Mr. Bean

I turned a really good round into an OK round. Today I thought was my opportunity to do what Monty did yesterday. I made quite a few mistakes.

People love talking about when they were young and heard Honky Tonk Women for the first time. It's quite a heavy load to carry on your shoulders, the memories of so many people.

Errors look so very ugly in persons of small means --one feels they are taking quite a liberty in going astray; whereas people of fortune may naturally indulge in a few delinquencies.

I am partial to ladies if they are nice. I suppose it is my nature. I am not quite a gentleman but you would hardly notice it.

At youth team level, I always played in central midfield alongside Kevin Thomson and I used to get well up the park and score quite a lot of goals,

I've had quite a few moments I've liked, so it's good enough.

I have a prejudice against people who print things in a foreign language and add no translation. When I am the reader, and the other considers me able to do the translating myself, he pays me the quite a nice compliment-- but if he would do the translating for me I would try to get along without the compliment. (A Tramp Abroad,1880)

A woman can look book moral and exciting ... if she also looks as if it was quite a struggle.

Any man whose errors take ten years to correct is quite a man.
