Overcoming

If not force, then strategy
But not just a speech prodigy
Talking about what is and what should be
Against God and men you set yourself free
Blaming and accusing
Jeering and smearing
After having been awarded audience
You speak devoid of conscience

Yes you are discontent
And you want to vent
Temporal relief is sure
But not so a lasting cure
But in enduring in observance
You’ll find happenings within happenstance
That can turn tables fast
And make first of those that were last

So, do we talk or remain silent?
Do we cause or wait for an event?
I say there’s time for everything
And the exact time for the very thing
Is for God to grace us with discernment
A cause of action to alleviate the torment
That our kin have always had to brace
With shame beyond saving face
