Ashes of a narcissist relationship

In the shadows of a love once bright,
From March of twenty, a hopeful light,
But whispers turned to thunderous cries,
As trust unraveled beneath dark skies.

Accusations flew like arrows sharp,
Each word a wound, each glance a spark,
You painted me with colors of blame,
In a twisted game, I bore the shame.

Through sleepless nights and endless fights,
The weight of doubt eclipsed the lights,
With every claim, the walls grew high,
A fortress built on fear and lie.

Then came our child, a fragile dawn,
Born in the chaos, innocence drawn,
Yet from the moment you held her tight,
You barred my path, extinguished my light.

A bond so pure, yet torn apart,
While love for her swelled in my heart,
You chose to sever, to keep me away,
In a world where I longed to stay.

Behind closed doors, you found your way,
While I was left in disarray,
You moved on swiftly, a smile on your face,
While I grappled with loss, a hollow space.

The laughter we shared now echoes in pain,
A love turned bitter, a heart in chains,
You found your joy, while I remain,
In constant agony, a heart’s refrain.

Yet in this darkness, I seek the light,
To heal the wounds, to reclaim my fight,
For though you’ve moved on, I’ll find my way,
To build a new life, come what may.

In the ashes of what once was true,
I’ll rise from the sorrow, I’ll start anew,
For our child deserves a love that’s whole,
And I’ll find my peace, reclaim my soul.

This resonated deeply. What a gift to capture such emotion in a poem. You will see the light! You have a ray of sunshine looking up to you.
