Bars

Anger is masked by apathy,
Rivalry is a tragedy,
But the real enemy, so eerie,
Doesn’t stand in front of me.

“Where are you?”
I say it through,
I don’t have a clue,
So I pray for a few.

I’m left behind these bars,
Traveling through the stars,
Wish I could heal these scars,
But I’m left behind these bars.

Tony, Tony, look around,
Up against the wall, my fists I pound,
I’ve been lost and must be found,
The world seems six feet underground.

I’m left behind these bars,
There are endless jars,
They are my memoirs,
I’ve run out of cigars,
So I’ve been left behind these bars.
